BIOGRAPHY OF BENEDICT PASCHAL

Ufondu Benedict Paschal Chukwuebuka also referred to as PASSYBEN is a music composer, a keyboardist and a choral conductor.

Benedict Paschal hails from Umuoji in idemili North L.G.A Anambra state, born and raised in Umuahia Abia state Nigeria to Nigerian parents Ambassador & Mrs Benedict C Ufondu of igbo descent. He received his training from his father who is also a keyboardist and a choral conductor at the age of 3. He started his music training while conducting his classmates during their graduation from nursery to primary school at Right foundation nursery and primary school Umuahia Abia state. With his tremendous performance, he was acknowledged as the choirmaster of the school. He also conducted his class mates at their graduation from primary to secondary level. He was the Choirmaster during his secondary days at St Anthony’s secondary school Amaekpu Ohafia LGA Abia state where he was acknowledged as the best Choirmaster. He was also the Choirmaster during his university days at St Thomas Aquinas Catholic Chaplaincy Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike Abia state.

Benedict is a graduate of the department of statistics Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike Abia state Nigeria and have been the Choir conductor in many parishes and stations. He has composed hundreds of original pieces and arrangement in English, Igbo and Latin.
Currently, he is one of the Choirmasters in one of the best choir in Umuahia Diocese St Michael’s Catholic Church ossah road umuahia Abia state.
